What is it? A beautiful traveling pop-up book featuring My Garden, written and illustrated by Kevin Henkes
designed for pre-school - 2nd grade
Rabbit hOle outreach projects are designed to enrich your curriculum and create opportunities for multiple levels of engagement. Students will have the opportunity to explore this Pop-Up with all of their senses, through multiple tactile and kinesthetic components. Everything that The Rabbit Hole delivers embraces our belief in the power of story and play. Through the My Garden Pop-Up, kids are invited to engage with with literature in a unique and memorable way to help create a lifelong love of reading.
What do we need in order to host?
space- You’ll need a minimum of 20’ x 20’ of open, walkable space and 6.5’ clearance. The area must be supervised and secure.
time- The Pop-up will be installed at your school for one week and cannot be moved during that time.
energy- We need you to be fully committed, with expressed support from your principal, your librarian, and all grade-level teachers involved.
funds- The cost for a one-week visit is $1,000. Financial assistance is available. Please inquire.
What does a $1,000 Pop-Up visit include?
books- You’ll receive 3 books for your classrooms or library
delivery/set up/tear down
orientation- Participating teachers and librarians will attend a half-hour (mandatory) orientation with our educational liaison — includes activity ideas and curriculum connections.
fun surprises- The My Garden Pop-Up comes with engaging elements for young children to hold, carry, touch, smell, wear, and explore.
