Charlie Mylie Limited Edition Reading is Resistance Print

For our "Reading is Resistance” print series collaboration, Charlie Mylie created an image of a phoenix rising from the flames of an open book and holding a snake.
 
"I kept having this image of a phoenix rising from a burning book," Charlie said. "I wanted to make something unlike the other prints so far... There's no subtlety. It's confrontational, and I think especially in the context of children's literature it's unexpected." 
 
Throughout the coming year, visiting children’s book creators will be invited to respond to the prompt: “Reading is Resistance”. In collaboration with The Rabbit hOle’s Print Shop, we will create an edition of prints which we will sell at events and in our bookstore, Lucky Rabbit Books.
