A Classic Spin… Mac Barnett and Carson Ellis at The Rabbit hOle

The Rabbit hOle welcomes picture book legends Mac Barnett and Carson Ellis on February 3rd for a special adults-only evening presentation and conversation celebrating their hot-off-the-press retelling of the classic tale, Rumpelstiltskin.

Barnett is a New York Times-bestselling author of more than 60 books and is currently serving as the 2025-2026 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Ellis is a Caldecott Honor-winning author and illustrator of several bestselling picture books, including Home and the beloved Du Iz Tak? Her editorial illustrations have appeared in numerous national publications, including The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The New York Review of Books.

The evening will feature Barnett and Ellis in conversation, a presentation and reading, a Q&A, and a book signing. Each individual ticket purchase for this 21+ event includes a copy of Rumpelstiltskin and one drink ticket.

- Doors open at 5:30, program begins at 6:00. Museum admission not included. 

- This event is for guests aged 21 and up.

- Ticket required for each guest. 

- Books from home not permitted.
