Let's Take a Dive

In this installment of “Take a Dive,” we will be zeroing in on powerhouse women creators who not only made major contributions to the children’s literature canon, but also helped lead art movements, civil rights groups, and feminist organizations including Esther Averill’s Fire Cat, Alexandra Day’s Good Dog Carl, Pura Belpré’s Perez and Martina, and Beatrice Schenk de Regniers’ May I Bring a Friend? 

Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for drinks and socializing. The program will start at 5:30 p.m. with an introduction in the Tons of Fun Room by museum co-founder Deb Pettid, followed by a guided tour and discussion in the museum. After the discussion, each guest will craft their own unique tunnel card. Each ticket includes a $5.00 book voucher to use at Lucky Rabbit Books.

This event is open to anyone aged 21+. Each ticket includes a drink.
