Let's Take a Dive

Sometimes you read a sweet story that doesn’t make you want to barf — rather, you could read it a million times and then some. It is a difficult accomplishment and one that this month’s featured creators succeeded at over and over again. Join us at this installment of Let’s Take a Dive to learn more about Tomie dePaola, Judith Kerr, Emmy Payne, Gene Zion, and Margaret Bloy Graham. 

Their characters are charming, their illustrations sophisticated, and they make you want to take home either Harry or Katie or the tiger and have more adventures with them. The presentation will feature all of the aforementioned creators, but our craft will focus on Tomie DePaola’s beloved Strega Nona. How amazing to have a magic pasta pot. As long as you know how to make it stop! 

Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for drinks and socializing. The program will start at 5:30 p.m. with an introduction by museum co-founder Deb Pettid, followed by a guided tour and discussion in the museum. After the discussion, attendees will get creative with pasta and paint! Each ticket includes a $5.00 book voucher to use at Lucky Rabbit Books.

This event is open to anyone aged 21+. Each ticket includes a drink.
