Bestselling and three time Pura Belpré award-winning children’s book creator Raúl The Third will share his book, Tough Times, at The Rabbit hOle on Friday, March 13th. Raúl will be in conversation with fellow children’s book and graphic novel creator, Pedro Martín.
The graphic novel is the latest from his Eisner Award Nominated World of ¡Vamos! series packed with humor, luchadors, and Spanish phrases. Much of Raúl’s work centers around the contemporary Mexican-American experience and his memories of growing up in El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
The evening will feature a conversation between Raúl and Martín followed by a book signing. Each purchase for this 21+ event includes a copy of Tough Times and one drink ticket.
