We are looking for a skilled Fabricator with experience in building mechanical elements to design and fabricate complex, creative mechanical and electronic exhibits for our museum environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal, wood, foam, and soft goods fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electronics; ensuring high-quality, functional products. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

What books are featured in your exhibits? Can I get the list?
We will share a list of the books featured in exhibits as soon as December 1, 2023. We also plan to make book packages available for purchase at that time.
What programs will you offer?
The Rabbit hOle has many programming areas for children, families and adults. These include our print shop and story lab, a resource library, our full-service bookstore, and our maker space. Within these spaces you will be able to participate in book making workshops, writing labs, story times, baby music time, book clubs, professional opportunities for educators, exhibit-related presentations and performances, national and local author events, and a multitude of literature-based activities for children and adults.
Membership and Tickets
What is the cost of admission?
Admission to The Rabbit hOle will be $16 per person. Children under two are free.
Will you have memberships?
The Rabbit hOle will offer a variety of membership packages beginning November 1, 2023. Memberships will allow individuals and families unlimited admission to the museum among many other benefits.
Do you have any discounts for those with financial need?
The Rabbit hOle intends to participate in the Museums for All program, a national IMLS program that offers discounted admissions to low-income families.
Planning Your Visit
(After We Open on March 12, 2024)
May I come to The Rabbit hOle without a child?
Yes. However, you will be required to wear a wristband indicating you are an unattended adult. We define an adult as 18+ years of age.
Does The Rabbit hOle have a cafe?
Yes! And it will have tasty food.
Is The Rabbit hOle accessible?
Yes. The Rabbit hOle has elevators, rampways, and ADA exits and entrances.
Field Trips, Group Tours & Rentals
Can I bring my classroom on a field trip?
We look forward to welcoming school groups to The Rabbit hOle in 2024. Field trip opportunities will begin in the summer and reach full stride in the fall of 2024. If you are interested in bringing your classroom or school group to The Rabbit hOle, please fill out our field trip interest form here. We will review forms and reconnect with you in early 2024.
Can my group have an early tour?
As we focus on finishing construction on our beautiful exhibits, we are not able to accommodate requests for behind-the-scenes tours at this time.
Will you host birthday parties? Can I rent space at The Rabbit hOle for events?
The Rabbit hOle looks forward to hosting birthday parties and offering special birthday packages. We are also planning to make spaces available for event rentals. More information about these opportunities will be forthcoming in 2024.
