Job Summary

Max’s Kansas City is a cafe situated inside The Rabbit hOle and features menu items pulled from the stories featured in the museum’s exhibit displays.

  • Under the direction of Chef Zaid, and Cafe Supervisor Mely, prepare menu items according to established recipes

  • Duties could include, but are not limited to, food prep, line work, assembly, plating and serving

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service area

  • Adhere faithfully to KCMO Food Handling Safety Protocol and Regulations
    Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a positive experience for our Guests

  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting (1-2 years preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of food prep techniques and kitchen equipment

  • Baking science knowledge a plus

  • Advanced knowledge of baking science is strongly preferred

  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with team members and interact with customers

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Flexibility to work early evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Currently Food Safety certified
