Job Summary
The Rabbit hOle is seeking book loving, hospitality-driven individuals to join a growing team of artists and administrative staff as a Guest Services Associate. Guest Services Associates will work with The Rabbit hOle to ensure a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional experience for museum visitors.
The Rabbit hOle is seeking a part-time Guest Services Associate to assist and support the museum’s guest services staff to ensure a safe, engaging, and welcoming experience for visitors. This role involves monitoring exhibit areas, enforcing museum policies, and providing basic custodial and department support. The ideal candidate is responsive, friendly, hard-working and customer-focused with a passion for literature and museum culture.
Responsibilities
Properly use museum equipment and systems, and carefully monitor cash and credit transactions for membership and ticketing.
Be knowledgeable about The Rabbit hOle’s exhibits and programming and able to respond to guests’ requests for information
Assist guests at the front desk and throughout the museum space.
Handle guest inquiries and complaints and direct to the appropriate persons as needed.
Monitor exhibit areas as needed to ensure the safety of visitors and installations. Enforce museum policies professionally, including rules on conduct, food, and exhibit interaction.
Assist the guest services supervisor with custodial needs as well as restocking bathroom and break areas.
Support special events and programs as required.
Properly use guest services supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Prior experience in customer service, security, museum work, or education preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Flexibility to adapt to fluctuating schedules.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to lift up to 40 pounds.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Passion for museums, children’s literature, and service to the community.
Commitment
8-24 hours weekly, depending on your availability.
Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available.
