FACILITIES LIAISON

The Rabbit hOle is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Facilities Liaison. The duties and responsibilities of this position will span the daily operations of both the museum and our fabrication facility. The qualified candidate will provide custodial, maintenance and repair services for both areas, and will participate in exhibit construction and installation as needed. This position requires a variety of skills, including advanced carpentry, a general proficiency regarding the maintenance and upkeep of building and mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), and very good people skills. This is a full-time position with benefits.

 • Work with the fab shop manager and designated staff to identify and address repairs and maintenance needs in both the fab shop and the museum.

    • Assist fab shop manager with shipping, receiving and the distribution of procured items, picking up items off-site if needed.

    • Work with designated staff on general framing and construction projects, as needed. 

    • Fabricate and assemble work products for exhibits, shop use, and general construction, as needed. 

    • Assist with exhibit installation, as needed.

    • Monitor, maintain and repair museum building infrastructure, as needed.

    • Provide custodial services in both the fab shop and the museum, as needed.

    • Work with Shop Foreman and designated staff to help organize, improve, make safe, and maintain the fabrication shops.

    • Other duties as assigned.


Job Summary

    • 5 years professional carpentry and construction experience. 

    • 3-5 years professional building maintenance experience.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

    • Ability to take direction.
